There are multiple ways to search for information in an academic library like the VSCS Libraries. Three of the most important are the Discovery Search, searching individual databases, and browsing subject-specific resources on Subject Guides. See the sections below for more detail on each of these tools!
This page will help you choose what tool will be most helpful for you. Once you've decided, see How to Search for tips on getting the most out of your library resources.
To access full text results in the VSCS Discovery Search, click the Access Now or Access Options button.
Some library databases require a special URL that contains the institution’s account information. If you want to link to eBooks, eBook chapters, articles, or videos in these databases, you’ll need to use the permalink or bookmark that the database provides for you.
Most library databases have built-in tools so you can save, cite, download, translate, and listen to articles.
