Job Shadowing

What Is a Job Shadow?

A job shadow is a chance to visit a place of employment and observe someone completing the tasks of a job that might be of interest to you.

Why Complete a Job Shadow?

A job shadow can help you make a career decision and give you new information about a job. Benefits to shadowing include personal insight from professionals, added experience on a resume, and networking!

How Can I Learn More?

Check out the handouts below for more about how to prepare for a job shadow, how to approach a company to ask for one, and what questions to ask.
