Career Assessments
Note that these assessments do not tell you what you should do, but rather shows you what careers are most often chosen by people with similar skills, interests, and values to yours. If you don't see anything that appeals to you, don't worry! Talk to Career Services to learn more.
Focus2:
- Scroll down to the 5 Self Assessments and select one to get started. After each, you’ll find a list of careers that match your assessment.
- For best results, complete all 5 assessments, then click “Combine Assessments” – this will show you careers chosen by people with similar skills, interests, and values to yours.
- When you’re done, contact Career Services to chat about the results and discuss potential career paths!
Career Coach:
- From the Career Coach homepage, click the Take the Assessment button and choose either the very quick 6-question or more detailed 60-question assessment. Once you’ve answered all the questions, you’ll get a “Top Three Traits,” or Holland Code, and a list of matching career family and subfamily. Select one to view a list of matching careers in that job family.
- By default, the information shown covers a 30-mile radius around Montpelier. Select your closest CCV center and preferred radius to see data local to you.
- You may choose to save your results to view later by quickly creating an account.
